PURPOSE:To eliminate the troublesome of cleaning by a method wherein a filter is provided between an air suction port and a water spraying chamber and the filter is cleaned by water stream at all times while flying cotton or the like, removed from the filter, is discharged automatically to the outside of the device at proper times. CONSTITUTION:The flying cotton or dust in air, flowed into a filter 14 from an air suction port 12 and arrested by the filter, is washed by water stream, passing through the net of the filter 14 and flowing down into a water receiver 16b, and enters into a water receiver 16, further, is filtrated by the lower part 14a of the filter and flows into the water receiver 16a. On the other hand, when the air washer is stopped to operate at every several hours by a timer or the like, for example, water in a pipe 26 flows reversely into the water receiver 16a at the side of the water spraying chamber by the head thereof. According to this method, the water in the water receiver 16a flows into the water receiver 16b and the flying cotton or the dust, adhered to the lower part 14a of the filter, is washed away and discharged out of an overflow port 20. |
