The method is for expanding the number of mecha position and for controlling the system having a deck mechanism according to the selected mecha position. The circuit includes a rotary program switch (SW1) having multiple contact plates for detecting the position selection and for transmitting logical signals having different logical values according to the positions, a start and a end sensor (St,Se) for detecting the start and the end point of a tape, a deck (110) having a loading motor (M2) and a capstern motor (M1) for loading and driving a tape, and a motor driver (120) for driving the motors in the deck. The microcomputer detects the position by receiving the logic signal and checks that the detected position is real.
