PURPOSE:To remarkably facilitate the detection of correlation by decomposing a reception signal wave into series signal waves in in-phase axis direction and orthogonal axis direction and using a reference spread series waveform adapted to the operating point of an amplifier respectively to detect the correlation. CONSTITUTION:An input signal wave 10 is multiplied respectively with a recovered carrier recovered at a carrier recovery circuit 104 and an orthogonal recovered carrier 107 intersected orthogonally with the recovered carrier at multipliers 102, 103 and respective outputs 108, 109 are obtained. Detected outputs 112, 113 are multiplied with a reference spread series waveform in-phase axis component 146 and a reference spread series waveform orthogonal axis component 147 given from a reference spread series waveform generating section 129 at multipliers 115, 117 respectively and outputs 116, 118 of the multipliers are obtained. A maximum likelihood discriminator 125 applies maximum likelihood decision to transmission information data from the outputs 123, 124 and a decision output 126 is obtained. |
