METHOD FOR UTILIZING CO2 IN EXHAUST GAS AND POWER GENERATING FACILITY

PURPOSE:To prevent global green-house effect by separating and recovering CO2 by means of battery reaction from exhaust gas from a power plant and a place other than the power plant where air containing CO2 is generated, so as to reduce the amount of CO2 to be discharged to atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:A coal gasification molten carbonate fuel cell power generating device II is combined to a thermal power plant I using coal power and exhaust gas generated from the thermal power plant I is supplied as one part of oxidized gas to the cathode 2 of the molten carbonate fuel cell FC of the power generating device II without being wholly discharged to atmosphere. CO2 in the exhaust gas is utilized as necessary CO2 for reaction on the cathode side so as to separate and recover CO2 from the exhaust gas containing CO2 to reduce the amount of CO2 contained in the exhaust gas discharged from the cathode 2 of the molten carbonate fuel cell FC. Thereby global warming is prevented.
