PURPOSE:To form stable mass flow at the rear end of a capillary by supplying an electrolyte from a branch part toward the downstream part of the capillary at speed higher than the moving speed of the sample separated by the capillary. CONSTITUTION:The sample moving through a capillary 2 passes through a branch pipe 5 by the potential difference of an electrode 12 to be ready to move toward the electrode 12 but, since an electrolyte is supplied to the capillary 2 from the branch pipe 5 at speed higher than the moving speed of the sample, the sample can not move toward the branch pipe 5. Therefore, the sample stably moves toward the further downstream part of the capillary 2 according to the flow of the electrolyte from the branch pipe 5. The sample moving to the downstream end of the capillary 2 is introduced into the sample introducing part of a mass analyser 10 to perform the analysis of an MW. Since the sample is stably introduced into the mass analyser 10 along with the electrolyte, a stable analytical result can be obtained. |
