PURPOSE:To perform proper sealing by a method wherein a speed correcting device is provided with a cycle speed-variator which performs rough adjustment of transfer speed, a differential gear device and a control motor which controls the action of the differential gear device in order to precisely adjust the transfer speed at a constant speed. CONSTITUTION:An item to be packaged is supplied at a regular speed. A packaging machine detects the passage of the item by a detector 21, inserts the item into a packaging material by a servomotor 23 which is controlled by a controller 22 according to the detected result, and both ends of the packaging material are sealed. An end sealing device 3 consists of a sealer 31 which heat-seals the packaging material, a main motor 20 which drives a to-be- packaged item feeder 1 and the end sealing device 3, a D-type cam 33 which gives a linear seal section, and a speed correction device 27 which corrects the speed of the sealer 33 so that the sealer 33 moves at a speed equal to that of the packaging material. The speed correction device 27 consists of a cycle speed-variator 26 which performs rough adjustment so as to make the transfer speed approach a constant speed, a differential gear device 25, and a control motor 24 which takes controls of the action of the differential gear device 25 so that the transfer speed of the D-type cam 33 in the linear section is precisely adjusted to a complete constant speed. |
