In the detached position, the stopper (8) of the male element (A) closes the annular opening (1c) fed by the pipe (1b), whereas the stopper (15) of the female element (B) closes the radial feed pipes (12b), sealing being provided by the two pairs of seals (11, 14). In the coupled position the openings (1c, 12b) are in coincidence, the two seals (14) guaranteeing sealing. In that way any risk of penetration of mud is avoided.
