Device for storing and classifying data, this device being a systolic stack. Each module of the stack is equipped with means (14, 15) for directing the incoming datum (En) to the data register (Rmax) of the module, if this datum is greater than that (Sn) which is located there. In the contrary case, it is directed to another register (Rmin) of the module. In either case, the contents (En + 1) of this other register (Rmin) are directed to the lower module, which simultaneously performs the same processing. <IMAGE>
