PURPOSE:To maintain a smooth operation during shift-up by performing air-fuel ratio control when a swirl adjusting means is opened although a closing command is outputted to the swirl adjusting means from an operation state judging means. CONSTITUTION:When a closing command is outputted to a swirl control valve from an operation state judging means A and the pressure difference holding time is a specified period or longer, it is judged that the pressure difference sufficient to close the swirl control valve exists, and the second air-fuel ratio setting means D setting the air-fuel ratio to that on the lean side than that when the swirl control valve is opened is operated. If the pressure difference holding time is the specified period or below, it is judged that no sufficient pressure difference to close the swirl control valve exists even though a closing command is outputted to the swirl control valve from the operation state judging means A, and the first air-fuel ratio setting means C is operated to set the air-fuel ratio corresponding to the actual state of the swirl control valve with an air-fuel ratio control means F. |
