PURPOSE:To ensure a certain scanning width by a simple structure and to reduce the size of a scanner by allowing light emitted from a light source to travel diagonally downward in a direction reverse to the emission direction with the reflecting surface of a rotating mirror and leading the reflected light to a surface to be scanned with plural mirrors. CONSTITUTION:Light 17 emitted from a laser light source is allowed to travel diagonally downward in a direction reverse to the emission direction A by reflection with the reflecting surface 14 of a rotating mirror 13 and the reflected light 17 is reflected with plural mirrors 18, travels toward a position above the mirror 13 and draws crossing scanning lines. Since the path length of the light 17 is folded in two and the light can be scanned nearly back and forth, a certain scanning width can be ensured by a simpler structure and the size of a scanner can be reduced. |
