PURPOSE:To sift a diaphragm to a small stopping side and to prevent a photograph from being blurred by selecting a region where the difference in the defocusing quantities of plural regions is within a prescribed value, and carrying out controlling so as to put the object of the region into a depth. CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer PRS receives the information of an object image formed on each sensor string of a sensor SNS via a sensor driving circuit SDR, a prescribed focus detection calculation is carried out, and the defocusing quantity of a photographing lens is detected. Then, the region where the difference in the defocusing quantities of plural regions is within a prescribed value is selected, the lens of a lens device LNS is driven up to the intermediate corresponding position of the difference in the defocusing quantity of the selected region, and the diaphragm is set based on the defocusing quantity. Therefore, the diaphragm is sifted to the extremely small stopping side and a photograph is prevented from being blurred caused by a long shutter time. |
