The panelled closure device in accordance with this invention is built such that, in the process of continuously and mutually driving each panel (20) by - a raising movement along the guide rail by means of a toothed wheel (2) and - a sideways movement along the receiving rail (18), in order to prevent a delay in the continuous drive at the extremity of the panel (20) opposite the side which must be continuously driven by the toothed wheel (2) at the time of the mutual continuous drive, and so that the following panel is engaged and that the panel is not continuously driven along the receiving rail (18) or the guide rail, and raising or lowering become impossible, the panels are forcibly guided by the rotary guide element (3) which engages or disengages the guide shaft (23) which projects on the side on which the delay in the continuous drive of each panel of a plurality of panels (20) takes place. <IMAGE>
