PURPOSE:To drastically decrease the labor for the operation of a slice plan by determining an approximate straight line group from the contour of the image in a CR image, determining the inclination of the approximate straight line group as the function regarding the position of the respective straight lines and determining the inclination of a straight line cursor. CONSTITUTION:The contour of the original CR image stored in an image mem ory 1 is extracted by an image processing computer 3 and it written into an image memory 2. The function regarding the position of the inclination of the slice to be set is determined by the computation of a host computer 4. The host computer 4 automatically calculates the inclination by using this function and calculates the cursor indicating the position and inclination of the slice plane when the position of the slice plane is assigned by a track ball 6. This cursor is written into a graphic display memory 5. The cursor is dis played in the state of being superposed on the CR image stored in the image memory 1 on a CR display device 7. The slice plane is automatically determined and the operator's burden and fatigue are decreased. |
