<p>PURPOSE: To make a ball capable of being driven in accurate direction and angle by arranging a plurality of cut-off parts so as to form a plurality of comb teeth-like or saw teeth-like tooth nucleuses from the lower end edge in the lower part of a club head. CONSTITUTION: A ball driving surface 1 has a plurality of horizontal shallow grooves 3 and is provided in the lower part with a plurality of cut-off parts so as to form a plurality of comb teeth-like or saw teeth-like teeth which help the cut-off parts to pass a position below a golf ball through the sands. Thus, when a club head is swung through the sand surface, sand grains pass spaces of cut-off parts between the teeth to easily rearward pass through. The length, shape, number of the teeth and the space of the cut-off part between the teeth are calculated to be serviceable for the use of the club, so that the ball can be driven in accurate direction and angle.</p> |
