MARINE TYROSINASE GENE

摘要

The present invention provides the isolated genes encoding marine tyrosinases from the genus Alteromonas, especially from the species A. colwelliana, and the tyrosinases encoded thereby in homogeneous form. Further, the invention provides antibodies to marine tyrosinases as well as methods of using the tyrosinases to induce oyster larval settlement. Moreover, these marine tyrosinase genes are also useful as selectable markers for genetic engineering.
