<p>Monoazo pigments are provided which have improved properties achieved by incorporating certain azomethine compounds. The pigment compositions are prepared by reacting a primary amine-terminated alkylene oxide polymer and an acetoacetanilide to form an azomethine coupler and subsequently preparing the monoazo pigment composition by reacting the desired diazo component and coupling component in the presence of the azomethine coupler so as to form an azomethine composition of matter and the desired pigment.</p> |
