ISOFORM OF PLATELET-DERIVED GROWTH FACTOR A CHAIN

A cDNA which codes for PDGF-A3, a novel isoform of the platelet-drived growth factor A chain, has now been cloned from the rabbit fetus aorta. The PDGF-A3 has an amino acid sequence different from that of the known platelet-derived growth factor A chain at the C-terminus thereof and is thought to have a specific growth factor activity against mesenchyme cells.
