PURPOSE:To enable the easy fitting of a weather strip in good appearance by providing the fitting base formed on a weather strip end with a seat part embedded in the fitting base, and a fitting clip externally projected from the seat part and engagingly locked to a body side member. CONSTITUTION:A wide fitting base 7 is formed at the end of a weather strip for securing the end to a body side member 17. Also, a fitting clip 21 is provided at the predetermined position of the base 7. The aforesaid clip 21 comprises a seat part 21a embedded into the base 7 and a pair of clip parts 21b externally projected from the seat part 21a and engagingly locked to the body side member 17. Furthermore, each clip part 21b is only coupled into the mounting hole 17a of the body side panel 17, thereby engagingly locking the weather strip to the panel 17. According to the aforesaid construction, the easy fitting of the weather strip is ensured and it is prevented to expose a part of the fitting clip 21 to the surface of the fitting base 7, after fitting the weather strip. |
