<p>PURPOSE:To continuously perform dust collection and shake-down of granules and to eliminate the need for stoppage of operation by forming a counter electrode equipped oppositely to a discharge electrode of a conductive and air-permeable hollow filter medium and equipping a feeding and exhausting device which forms bleeding and air supply for backwash for this hollow part. CONSTITUTION:Gas contg. granular substance is introduced into a dust chamber 15 having an opened damper 7 and led between a discharge electrode 1 parallel to gas flow and a counter electrode 2. Then when high voltage is impressed to the electrode 1 from a high voltage supplier 6, the granules are charged by the ions generated from the electrode 1 and speedily moved to the electrode 2 by ionic wind. Therein when the hollow part of the electrode 2 is bled by a bleeding fan 10, ventilation is performed to the inside face of the electrode 2 from the outside face thereof. Therefore the granules are collected and held on the surface of the electrode 2 by electric charge of the granules and action based on both Coulomb's force of electric field action between the electrodes 1, 2 and gas flow. Then the damper 7 is closed and the supplier 6 is turned off and thereafter a control valve 11 is closed and also a control valve 12 is opened. When gas is allowed to back flow by a backwash fan 9, the granules are shaken down.</p> |
