<p>Resilient closed-cell cellular sheets, for example similar to air-bubble packaging material, are used as a mould void filler for casting concrete floors, as heave-relief means under buildings, roads and other structures, and in situations where geotextiles are of use. The cellular material may be formed into self-supporting panels (15) comprising superimposed cellular sheets (16) bonded together, and preferably provided with at least one outer skin (18). The panel (15) may be precompressed to increase its rigidity. Such panels may also be used as structural elements.</p> |
