PURPOSE:To increase the rigidity of a console box and enable easy demounting thereof by applying the constitution wherein the the top portions of the console box opposite to each other at an opening for projecting the operation handle of a parking brake are connected to each other with a rib allowing easy cutting. CONSTITUTION:A console box 1 has a storage part 3 covered with an open/close lid 2 at the rear part thereof, and a top part 6 comprising a slope part 4 and a flat part 5 is formed at the front side of the storage part 3. The top part 6 is provided with an opening 7 extending from the slope part 4 to the flat part 5. In this case, the portions of the top part 6 having the opening 7 and corresponding to the front end of a narrow portion are connected to each other with a rib of small width allowing easy cutting. Furthermore, an operation handle 10 is so provided above the rib 9 as to conceal the rib 9 for maintaining good appearance. At the same time, the overall rigidity of the console box 1 is improved with the rib 9. Also, the whole of the console box 1 is made easily detachable via the cutting of the rib 9. |
