SPARE POWER UNIT, SPARE POWER SUPPLYING METHOD, ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption of a spare power unit and to prolong the power supplying time by interrupting the supply of power to plural circuits via the spare power supply in the order of less importance of these circuits. CONSTITUTION:The interruption of a main power supply is detected by a power interruption detecting means 2 and simultaneously the power is supplied to plural circuits from a spare power supply 3. An interruption instructing means 1 detects the interruption of the main power supply and instructs the interruption of power to the interrupting means 11-13 in sequence in order to interrupt the power supplied from the supply 3 to those circuits in the prescribed interruption order or the order instructed by an operator. In receiving the interruption instructions, the means 11-13 interrupt successively the power supplied to the circuits from the supply 3. Thus the power supplied to the circuits 21-23 from the power 3 are successively interrupted and the power is never equally supplied to the circuits 21-23 until the power is used up. Then the power consumption of the supply 3 is reduced.
