A logic simulation machine is adapted to communicate with a host computer without slowing down the simulation. The Broadcast command stored in a first memory in the logic simulation machine generates a packet of information to be sent from the logic simulation machine to the host computer. The Broadcast command efficiently collects any data from a second memory means storing current state of a model being simulated in the machine and puts the data on a simulation bus means through which the logic simulation machine is connected to the host computer. The data on the simulation bus means may be received by an auxiliary processor which executes a task instead of the host computer.
