Automatic ring spinner yarn repair - has auxiliary yarn threaded through ballooning limit ring and placed between cops and drawing unit

To repair a broken yarn automatically, at a ring spinner, an auxiliary yarn (8) is drawn from a supply bobbin (7) by a yarn carrier (15) across the moving yarn sensor (2) to a point below the ring rail. The ring traveller (5) is blown on to the auxiliary yarn (8) and it is laid in coils round the cops (6) and sleeve. The auxiliary yarn (8) is threaded into the ballooning limit ring (3) and in the moving yarn sensor (3) by rotating the spindle (12). The auxiliary yarn (8) is laid at the broken yarn end projecting at the outlet (1) of the drawing unit, and the auxiliary yarn (8) is severed from its bobbin (7). ADVANTAGE - The mobile maintenance unit can effect a yarn repair, automatically, at every operating point in time of the ring spinner.
