PURPOSE:To improve critical electric current density by blending oxides of specific elements in given ratio and sintering in an O2 atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:Powder of oxides containing Tl, Bi, Pb, element alpha, element beta, element gamma and Cu is blended in an atomic ratio of Tl/Bi/Pb/gamma/alpha/beta/Cu=h/i/j/k/l/ m/n (alpha and gamma are element selected from group IIa of the periodic table, beta is element selected from Na, K, Rb and Cs, 0<h<=3.0, 0<=i<3.0, 0<=j<3, 0.5<=k<=6.0, 0<=l<=3.0, 0<=m<=3.0, 1.0<=n) and molded. Then the molded article is sintered in an O2 atmosphere at 820-950 deg.C for 6-100 hours to give an oxide superconducting material of compound oxide having a tetragonal system layer structure shown by the formula (0.5<=y<=3.0, 0.5<=z<=6.0, 1.0<=v, 5.0<=w, 0<=p<=1.0, 0<=q<=1.0, 0<=r<=1.0, 0.5<=s<=3.0). |
