<p>The surface of the object (O) whose surface geometry is to be checked is first coated with an ink (I) of a colour which contrasts with that of the object and then wiped with absorbent paper so as to remove (R) the ink from the raised portions. The surface morphology composed of light depressions and dark raised portions thus produced is analysed by an image analyser.</p> |
