<p>The bidirectional coupler is constituted by a Y-junction coupler and a directional coupler (4) in series, the two branches (5, 6) of the directional coupler (4) being connected to the two branches (2, 3) of the Y-junction coupler. The bidirectional coupler may be inserted in an optical bus in order to inject an optical signal onto the bus, or be used, together with other bidirectional couplers, for forming a multiple coupler having stages. <IMAGE></p> |
