After alignment of the rail (1) or the rib plate on the ground surface (3), the space limiting the elastic bearing body (9) to be produced is defined by a sealing strip (6) which is expandable under the effect of heat. The direction of the expansion of the foam material is vertical to the sealing surfaces on the rail (1) or rib plate (2) and ground surface. The sealing strip (6), independently of the temp., remains unloaded for a specific period, until it expands to a firm location on the rail or rib plate and the ground surface (3). The cold-hardening plastics only is applied after the drop in tension of the sealing strip corresp. to dimensional conditions whereby at least a complete fitment between the sealing strip and ground surface is achieved.
