PURPOSE: To improve the stability of the density of a slurry handled by arranging so that the angleαof a ring-shaped chamber to a horizontal plane ranges in 40 deg.<=α<=45 deg., furnishing a partitioning plate in the over-part, and installing a bulk material stream forming means and exhaust liquid low forming means at an acute angle to the partitioning plate. CONSTITUTION: The angleαof a ring-shaped chamber 1 to a horizontal plane is made ranging 40 deg.<=α<=45 deg.. A bulk material stream forming means 10 and exhaust liquid flow forming means 11 are formed at an acute angle to the partitioning plate 7. When bulk materials of water-power transport are fed from a pipe 2, the means 10 guides the stream of bulk materials toward a wall below the chamber 1, and the extra portion of fluid is substituted with the bulk materials and exhausted from the exhaust pipe 3. Near the end of feeding, particles of the bulk materials are deposited on the plate 7 and means 11. A flow of pressure liquid is introduced into the chamber 1 from a pipe 5 and mixed with the bulk materials so that a slurry is formed which is exhausted from an exhaust pipe 6. The liquid portion as substitute for the exhausted bulk materials flows toward the upper part of the pipe 6 inside the chamber 1, and will never pass through the subsiding layer of bulk materials.
