The conveyor device is for a rhythmic conveyance of workpieces between successive processing stations in production lines. It includes lift devices (18) which each have a support plate (16) which support the beams (14). The support plates project from a slide carriage (36) guided vertically in a frame (32) and provided in turn on the side remote from the support plates with an entrainment bolt (38) which engages in a control groove (42) which is set in the circumferential surface of a perpendicularly mounted rotary driven cylinder roller (40). The cylinder rollers can be coupled at their lower end to the output of an angular gearing (44) wherein the drives of the angular gearing are each coupled to the drive of the angular gearing of the preceding and succeeding lift device (18). One common drive motor (48) can be associated with all the lift devices.
