Safety net for combination vehicle - with provision of energy-absorbing tie-rod

The safety net is for the protection of a passenger area from the goods area of a combination vehicle. It has two parallel longitudinal edges one of which (16) runs beneath the vehicle roof (2) and the other runs parallel to the back seat rest. The safety net is secured by a tie-rod (18) provided with energy absorbing profiles (25, 26) which take up the kinetic energy of an object (38) thrown against the net when deformed by the movement of the end pieces (29). USE/ADVANTAGE - Safety net which gives improved protection to the occupants of a combination vehicle.
