The suspension and the retainers for the damper mass (2) is by means of rigid guides, of which those (3) for suspension are length stable, and those (6) for retention are elastically pliable in their ability to alter in length. The latter are formed telescopically. All the guides are approximately of the same length. In the rest position of the damper mass (2), the guides (3,6) enclose with the structure longitudinal axis an angle of approximately 15-25 deg., and are equally distributed over the periphery of the structure (1). At their link points, the guides are enclosed by folding bellows, and those for retention (6) are formed by elastomer springs. USE/ADVANTAGE - Damper to protect slim structures, such as chimneys, from vibrations.
