<p>A plug-in element (2) for a contact strip (4), consisting of a housing (10) provided with electrical components. According to the invention, the housing (10) is provided with contact elements (12), with at least one lockable flat plug sleeve (14) and with oblong holes (16), whose openings (18) are arranged in the surface (20) facing the contact strip (4) and the mutual arrangement of the flat plug sleeve (14), a contact element (12) and the contact elements (12) corresponds to the mutual arrangement of a flat plug (8), a plug contact (6), and the plug contacts (6) for a plug-in connection. In this way, a plug-in element (2) is produced with low insertion forces and, simultaneously, a high mechanical retention force, whose plug-in connection to a contact strip (4) is resistant to vibration and/or shaking.
