<p>PURPOSE:To obtain various varistor characteristics by a method wherein, among the external electrodes which are led out to different side-face regions of a sintered body and formed on each side face region, optional two electrodes are used. CONSTITUTION:External electrodes 23 to 27 are formed on each side face region, where internal electrodes 17 to 21 are led out, in such a manner that they are electrically connected to the internal electrodes 17 to 21 respectively. The external electrode 26 is electrically connected to the internal electrode 20 only. The internal electrodes 25 and 27 are electrically connected to the internal electrodes 19 and 21 only. Accordingly, for example, when the external electrodes 25 and 26 only are selected and voltage is applied thereon, the varistor characteristics based on the varistor element to be constituted between the internal electrodes 19 and 20 can be obtained. Also, when the external electrodes 25 and 27 are selected and used, the varistor characteristics based on the varistor element to be constituted between the internal electrodes 19 and 21 can be obtained.</p> |
