<p>PURPOSE:To raise a withstand voltage without lowering a partial discharge- starting voltage by surrounding a nonuniform electric field existing in an electric apparatus, in which a low pressure insulating gas is enclosed, with an insulating barrier having a conductive material layer. CONSTITUTION:An electrical apparatus, e.g. gas-insulated switchgear, in which a low-pressure insulating gas is enclosed, is fitted with a barrier in an insulating gas. A vacuum valve 9 constituting the breaking part of a circuit breaker is contained in the inside of the insulating cylinder 14 of this barrier and the inner surface side of the insulating cylinder 14 is formed into a U-shape so as to surround an end cover 9a. The side opened in a U-shape manner forms a coaxial shape directed to the center and a conductive material layer 14a is provided on the inner surface of the insulating cylinder 14. Further, a hole, through which a main circuit conductor electrically connected with the movable electrode shaft 11 of the vacuum valve 9 and other apparatus passes, is provided in the upper and lower parts of the insulating cylinder 14. As a result, it is possible to lower the electric field strength of the end cover 9a of the vacuum valve 9.</p> |
