PURPOSE:To eliminate overcharge of a battery and to suppress vibration of body by lowering the charging amount of the battery for a predetermined interval when the terminal voltage of the battery exceeds a preset level. CONSTITUTION:Terminal voltage VB of a battery 1 is divided and fed to the inverted input of a comparator 17, while the voltage of a constant voltage line 13 is divided and fed to the non-inverted input. When the voltage to be fed to the non-inverted input is set at a predetermined level, output Co of the comparator 17 goes L level only when the terminal voltage VB of the battery 1 exceeds a predetermined level. Output from the comparator 17 is fed to the trigger input of a monostable multi-vibrator 18 having metastable time determined by a resistor R17 and a capacitor C4. Consequently, the vibrator 18 is triggered at the time point when the output Co from the comparator 17 goes L level, and the multi-vibrator 18 is reset upon elapse of the metastable time from that time point.
