<p>PURPOSE:To shorten the depth dimension of a tape player by arranging and supporting a tape cassette inserted in a horizontal direction in a vertical direction, making a pulling means ascend and descend from a back side so that the cassette may be pulled out and setting the cassette in a tape driving mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A carrier 1 being a holding means holds the tape cassette A inserted in the horizontal direction. A compartment 8 supports, for example, five carriers 1 by arranging them in the vertical direction. A sliding tube 12 is fixed to a main base 11 being the base of the pulling means and the main base 11 is made to ascend and descend. The main base 11 is made to ascend and descend and moved to the position of the required carrier 1, and the carrier 1 is held by holder plates 19 and 20 so as to pull out the carrier 1 to the back side. Then, the main base 11 is made to descend and the tape cassette A is set in the tape driving mechanism provided on a main chassis 25.</p> |
