<p>PURPOSE:To realize variable tension control dealing with high-speed winding by changing the width of a groove according to the suction quantity introduced in a vacuum chamber, and detecting pressure varying according to air quantity to leak through the groove by a pressure gauge. CONSTITUTION:Even if vacuum pressure in the vacuum chamber 23 sucked through a suction hole 28 is constant, since the widths W1 and W2 of the groove 30 at positions where a magnetic tape intersects the groove 30 are different, air leaks through the groove at different rate, and a sensor 32 can detect the change of the pressure corresponding to the quantity of leakage. Then, by feeding back its output to the motor 34 of a winding side, the position of the magnetic tape 22 in the chamber can be controlled. In this case, to control the position of the tape 22 becomes to control the tension of the tape 22 during being wound. Accordingly, the chamber 23 is provided with the groove 30 for catch the change of the position of the tip end part of the tape 22 as the change of the pressure. Thus, the variable control of the tension in the course of winding can be executed easily.</p> |
