PURPOSE:To protect a detecting element agaist damage by disposing a member for preventing intrusion of foreign matter between a part to be detected and the detecting element. CONSTITUTION:A detecting element 18 comprising a magnetro-sensitive element is secured to the outer circumference of a rotor 13 while facing with a magnet 17 to be detected. Triangular protrusions 20 for blocking intrusion of forein matter are disposed on the opposite sides of the magnetro-sensitive element 18 so that they do not contact with the magnet 17 at the outer circumferential side of the rotor yoke 13. By such arrangement, intrusion of forein matter into the detecting element 18 can be minimized. |
