<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate and expedite the extent of closing operation in an exhaust flow passage by constituting a back pressure adjusting hole being installed in a valve member so as to be closed by a piston mechanism at time of the closing operation of the valve member being reciprocated in a direction orthogonal with the exhaust flow passage. CONSTITUTION:In a housing 1 of an exhaust brake body, there is fitted with a plate valve member 3 after forming a working passage in a direction almost orthogonal with an exhaust flow passage 2 installed in this housing, and this valve member 2 is reciprocated by an air cylinder unit 5. In this valve member 3, there is formed with a back pressure adjusting hole 7 piercing through the bottom wall, as situated at the tip side, then this hole 7 is opened or closed by a piston mechanism 8 which is composed of a block member 16 inclusive of a contact rod 14 projecting the tip part to the outside, a liner 11 loosely fitted in a section C-shaped supporting frame body 12 as one body with this block member, and it is constituted so as to close the back pressure adjusting hole 7 with the liner 11 upper relatively against a spring 13 via the contact rod 14 at time of closing the valve member 3.</p> |
