PURPOSE:To prevent outflow of a filter medium during normal filter operation and backwash by stretching a support net substance at the lower inner part of a filter body, and locating two baffle plates above a beadform filter medium with which a space above the upper surface is filled. CONSTITUTION:A filter F is a catadrome type filter capable of backwashing a filter medium, a support net substance 43b horizontally stretched at the lower inner part of a filter body 43a, and a space above the upper surface of the support net substance is filled with a beadform filter medium 43c. A lower baffle plate 43f is inserted in an annular recessed part formed with engaging recessed parts Fd and Fe formed in the inner peripheral surfaces of the mating parts of upper and lower flanges 28d and 28e. A cylindrical spacer Fg having a given height is placed on the upper surface of the plate 43f, an upper baffle plate 43d is nipped by means of the upper end of the spacer, and the two baffle plates are horizontally located with a given distance therebetween. During normal filtering operation, a velocity of flow is reduced to prevent flying up of a filter medium 43c, and outflow of the filter medium 43c through an air bleed pipe is prevented. During washing of the filter medium, the velocity of flow of a reverse flow of bath hot water is averaged to prevent creation of a part where a velocity of flow is high, and outflow of the filter medium 43c is prevented. |
