PURPOSE:To impart superior positive triboelectrifiability to a toner, to form a sharp image and to maintain image quality as same as that of an initial image even after successive copying by incorporating a specified boron compound in the surface of the triboelectrifying member. CONSTITUTION:At least the surface of the triboelectrifying member contains at least one of the boron compounds represented by formulae I - V in which each of R1 - R9 and R11 - R18 and R21 - R70 is H, alkyl, or alkoxy; (n) is 1 or 2; and each of X1 and X2 is K, Ca, Ba, Zn, or the like. The boron compound may be used alone, in combination of >=2 kinds of this compound, or together with another triboelectrifying compound, and the base resin of the triboelectrifying member may be coated with the obtained coating fluid and dried. This member may be formed by dispersing the boron compound into the resin. |
