A remote control method is used to allow miniaturised hearing aids to be adjsuted. The unit has a transmitter delivering a digital data telegram together with a clock signal in a specified period. The signals are converted into analogue frequencies which are received by the integrated receiver circuit. The clock signal is filtered out and the resulting signal is added to the converted signal. An Exclusive-OR gate is used as a decoder to reconstruct the data sequence. ADVANTAGE - Allows hearing aid to be adjusted remotely.
