PURPOSE:To utilize ions to purify the atmosphere of a bath room or a green house, water in a fish-breeding tank, deodorize a malodor or the like, by storing an ion generating material containing therein a radio-active isotope which alpha- decays, in a container, and introducing ions generated from the material and discharged from the container, into an ionization room or into an ionization utilizing facility by means of a blower. CONSTITUTION:An ion generating material 2 containing a radioactive isotope which alpha-decays is suitably stored in a container 1 that is hermetically closed with a space being defined above the material 2. A blower 4 is connected to one side of the closed container 1 through the intermediary of a supply pipe 5, and ions generated from the material is introduced into an ionization chamber 6 or an ionization utilizing facility from the other side of the closed container 1 through the intermediary of a discharge pipe 5' which includes therein, if necessary, a diffusing plate 7. With this arrangement, the ionization can be used for a bath room, a green house for cultivating plants, vegetables or the like, or other ionization utilizing facilities. By utilizing the ion generating material so as to supply ions into an ionization room or an ionization utilizing facility, a desired effect can be attained. |
