PURPOSE:To carry out fine granulation in water solvent and formation of capsule walls simultaneously by preparing fine capsules using self-dispersive resins which have dispersibility to disperse themselves to the degree to give average grain size smaller than a specific size under the function of water solvent. CONSTITUTION:Fine capsules consisting of a hydrophobic liquid and/or a solid substance (e.g. pigment) and a resin with which they are enclosed are manufactured. At that time, using self-dispersive resins (e.g. urethane resin) which has dispersibility to disperse themself to the degree to give <=0.1mum average grain size, fine capsules are prepared and fine granulation in water solvent and formation of capsule walls are carried out simultaneously. The super fine granular capsules prepared by the method can be formed easily within a short time without using auxiliary materials such as surfactants, etc., and have <=0.1mum average grain size. The capsules are especially applicable for recording materials such as pigments, inks, etc., and cosmetics and dyes for fibers. |
