Feed device 40 for flexible tubes 76 or rods, comprising a housing, opposite wheels 18 or wheels and surface, with or without applied belt, arranged in the housing in order to hold the tube with frictional engagement between them, the wheels alone, or together with control members, defining a path for the tube through the housing, and drive members 30 connected to at least one of the wheels for advancing the tube on the path by activation of the drive members. At least one driven wheel is arranged movably about a pivot axle offset from the wheel axle in the direction perpendicular to the path, activation of the wheel resulting in a reaction force component on the wheel against the tube.
