PURPOSE:To facilitate mounting and detachment and to develop damping capacity even within a medium-high temp. region by heating and curing a resin composition for a thermosetting damping material between a half pipe outer surface forming recessed mold and a half pipe inner surface forming protruding mold matched with the center line of a half pipe to form a half pipe-like damping material and subsequently applying a pressure-sensitive adhesive or a usual adhesive to the inside of the obtained half pipe-like damping material. CONSTITUTION:A damping material composition 3 is introduced into a half pipe outer surface forming recessed mold 1 (A) having a recessed surface of a radius A of curvature and, subsequently, a half pipe inner surface forming protruding mold 2 (B) having a protruding surface of a radius of curvature B (< radius A of curvature) matched with the curved surface of the mold (A) in a center line is arranged and the damping material composition is held between the molds (A), (B) and cured under heating to obtain a half pipe-like damping material. By selecting the radii of curvature of the molds (A), (B), the thickness of the damping material and the diameter of control piping can be determined. Next, a pressure-sensitive adhesive or a usual adhesive 5 is applied to the inside of the damping material thus molded to obtain a thermosetting damping material for piping. |
