In the Figure, a thin film of P-type germanium is applied to one face of an assembly comprising conductor electrodes 33, 32 and 34 and insulation blocks 30 and 31. Electrode 32 may consist of an antimony or phosphorus bearing alloy, so that heat treatment at about 650‹C. may cause antimony or phosphorus to diffuse into the P-type germanium, changing into an N-type zone 35. |
