PURPOSE:To prepare the title compsn. exhibiting excellent gas barrier properties and an improved adhesion to other resins by compounding a polycarbonate resin with a polyhydroxypolyether having a specific structure. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. polycarbonate resin (pref. a polycarbonate resin made from bisphenol A) is compounded with 3-20 pts.wt. virtually linear polyhydroxypolyether of the formula [wherein R<1> is a divalent arom. hydrocarbon group (e.g. p-phenylene); and n is a positive integer] to give the title compsn. which has improved gas barrier properties and exhibits an improved adhesion to other resins, enabling lamination with, e.g. a polyolefin resin. |
