PURPOSE:To obtain the titled molding having a stable, durable modified surface layer, by treating a vinyl chloride resin molding with a low-temperature plasma of an inorganic gas and then heat-treating the molding under diminished pressure. CONSTITUTION:a vinyl chloride resin molding containing additives such as a plasticizer, a lubricant, a filler and an antioxidant is set in a plasma generator, treated with a low-temperature plasma by maintaining the pressure at 0.001-10Torr under a stream of an inorganic gas, e.g., He or Ar, and applying a high-frequency (several kHz to several hundreds MHz) electric power for several sec to several tens min and then heat-trated at a pressure of 0.01-200Torr and a temperature of 50-350 deg.C. EFFECT:It is possible to form a crosslinked layer on the surface without changing the internal properties of a molding. This crosslinked layer acts as a layer for preventing migration of plasticizers or other internal additives. USE:Medical materials, food packaging materials. |
